• Obtained a settlement value in excess of 30 million dollars on behalf of a young man rendered severely mentally and physically disabled as the result of the negligence of some of Nevada’s largest corporations.

• Obtained a $9 million dollars settlement on behalf of two minor clients in a civil rights action against the Clark County School District, representing the largest ever settlement against the Clark County School District.

• Obtained a settlement value in excess of 26 million dollars on behalf of a young man that sustained catastrophic injuries in an automobile motorcycle collision

• Obtained settlement of 5.5 million dollars from international hotel chain for defective remodel renovation, resulting in a slip and fall from boiler water seepage

• Obtained a one million dollar settlement in a surfer’s myelopathy case, after the client executed a release agreement

• Obtained settlement in excess of 1.5 million dollars for wrongful death in an automobile collision when our client was originally faulted for the accident

• Wrongful Death- electrocution caused by faulty power lines, obtained a settlement of 15 million dollars.

• Secured verdict of over 7 million dollars based on hospital’s failure to provide adequate prenatal care and for negligent monitoring of delivery.

• Secured 5 million dollar settlement against a medical health provider for failure to provide adequate post operative care that resulted in blindness.

• Secured a verdict against Walgreen’s Corporation for over 6 million dollars for a slip and fall injury suffered by our client.  At the time it was the largest verdict in a slip in fall action in Nevada history.

• Obtained a settlement of 5 million dollars against a major tire manufacturer for a Plaintiff injured by a defective tire.

• Obtained a 5 million dollar settlement due to failure to render timely treatment, resulting in brain injury.

• Amputation injury resulted from a defective product, obtained a settlement for over 4 million dollars.

• Secured a verdict of 1.2 million dollars in favor of a client who was injured by inadequate seat belt protection on a bus.

• Obtained a settlement of over 800,000 dollars against a national supermarket chain for a trip and fall accident incurred by an elderly client.

• Obtained a settlement in excess of 750,000 dollars against a casino for a Plaintiff injured in a trip and fall accident by an improperly constructed step.

• Rubin v. State Farm Mut. Auto. Ins. Co., 292 F.3d 639 (9th Cir. 2002) – successfully represented Plaintiff against an insurance company where the insurance company refused to provide coverage. In both the  Nevada Supreme Court and before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

• State of Nevada v. Rontu Elam – Judicial Dismissal of multiple murder charges.

• State of Nevada v. Lauriano Ruiz – acquittal on murder charges.

• Acquittal of fifteen-year-old juvenile on sexual assault charges.

• Acquittal of Defendant on ten (10) felony theft charges.

• Negotiation of 20+ count felony juvenile sexual assault case to one (1) gross misdemeanor.

• Two (2) capital murder cases successfully negotiated to manslaughter during trial.

• United States v Vincent Fogliani – acquittal of Defendant on multiple charges related to extortion. 

• United States v  Lopez-Robles, et al. – acquittal of Defendant on multiple charges related to drug trafficking and racketeering. 

• United States v  Piedra-Caranza – acquittal of Defendant on multiple charges related to drug trafficking.

• Reversed indictment charge of child abuse and neglect for improperl y charged defendant on Writ of Mandamus to Nevada Supreme Court.

•  Reversed decision of lower court on released of sealed records on Writ of Mandamus before Nevada Supreme Court.

• Bennett v. Eighth Judicial Dist. Court ex rel. Cnty. of Clark, 121 Nev. 802, 121 P.3d 605 (2005) – successfully struck an aggravator for capital murder on Writ of Mandamus to the Nevada Supreme Court.

• Ducksworth v. State, 113 Nev. 780, 942 P.2d 157 (1997) – reversed and remanded conviction for Murder.

• Obtained an unconditional pardon on behalf of a client, restoring his civil rights, including his right to possess a firearm.

• Successfully argued for a reduced prison sentence for an incarcerated client, resulting in earlier parole eligibility.

• Successfully negotiated first-degree murder charges to voluntary manslaughter.

• Successfully defended an anti-SLAPP interlocutory appeal in the Nevada Supreme Court.

• Successfully reduced a multi-felony case involving a public officer, resulting in two misdemeanors.
