Jeremy D. Holmes is an associate with Sgro & Roger, working previously as a law clerk with the firm while becoming licensed as an attorney in Nevada. Since joining the firm, Mr. Holmes has gained valuable experience in the areas of criminal law, civil litigation, and personal injury.

Mr. Holmes graduated from the UCLA School of Law in 2016, and soon thereafter moved to Las Vegas to settle down with his family. During law school, Mr. Holmes was recognized for his oral advocacy by being named part of the Moot Court Honors Program, and also took numerous clinical courses on trial advocacy and civil litigation. Prior to law school, Mr. Holmes graduated with honors from the University of Alaska, Anchorage in his hometown, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Psychology.

As a third-year law student, Mr. Holmes worked as a law clerk for a boutique patent litigation firm in Los Angeles, where he helped research and draft a petition for writ of certiorari to the Supreme Court of the United States. At this same time, Mr. Holmes also was part of UCLA Law’s First Amendment Amicus Brief clinic, where he participated in drafting a number of amicus briefs to various federal courts around the country; including a brief submitted to the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Holmes also spent a summer as a legal extern to the Honorable Otis D. Wright II in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, where he wrote numerous legal opinions on cases ranging from employment law to patent and copyright law, and gained valuable firsthand knowledge from a number of federal judges.

In his free time, Mr. Holmes enjoys spending time with his family, brazilian jiu-jitsu, and exercising.
